2000 Films is a London-based film production company founded by Jamie Wigg and Sebastian Pedersen, both up and coming directors, cinematographers and producers. We established the company in 2025 to create our own space, allowing us to produce and develop the films they are passionate about. While 2000 Films functions as a production company, it goes beyond the traditional model; Jamie and Sebastian are hands-on in every project, from scriptwriting to producing to directing and cinematography, ensuring their creative vision is realized and shared with audiences worldwide. The company is currently in production on its first film under the 2000 Films banner, with Jamie Wigg serving as director and Sebastian Pedersen as director of photography and producer. As well as producing in house films, we aim to help other filmmakers bring their vision to life, this will be done by sharing our experiences as well as resources.

2000 Films was founded by Sebastian Pedersen and Jamie Wigg, both film production students at a London-based university. As aspiring filmmakers, they launched the company to begin their journey in the industry and share their creative work with the world.

Sebastian Pedersen (22), half Finnish half Danish, developed his passion for film at an early age, watching movies with his father and older brother. In 2020, he discovered the possibility of formally studying film, which set him on a clear creative path. The following year, he was accepted into the one-year film course at the European Film College in Denmark, where he quickly fell in love with the art of filmmaking and shifted from simply watching films to creating his own, gaining the knowledge and skills to set out on his own. After spending a couple of gap years working on various independent and local projects doing everything from writing to sound mixing to editing, Sebastian continued his journey in 2024 by enrolling in a Film and TV course at a university, where he is currently pursuing his studies.

Since founding the company, both owners have aspired to build a respected presence within the film industry, with the long-term vision of establishing 2000 Films as a leading name and influential creative force.

Jamie Wigg (19), a London native, has been passionate about film from a young age. At 15, he decided to pursue a career in filmmaking and chose media studies as one of his A-level subjects learning how to produce and create music videos. Since then, he has gained valuable experience working on multiple film sets, steadily building his portfolio. Alongside his studies, Jamie also runs a social media platform where he publishes montages that capture locations and stories which inspire him. Two of his ongoing projects, Through My Lens and Through My Eyes, highlight the beauty of the world from his unique perspective. Most recently, Jamie began work on his first independent short film, Red, where he took on the challenge of writing the script and directing for the very first time.
