Past, Present & Future Projects

2025:

2025 was a foundational year for 2000 Films, focused on establishing the company’s core structure and refining the logistics of its operations. During the summer, the two co-owners collaborated to begin production on their first independent short film, RED.

RED marked 2000 Films’ debut short film. Shot in the summer of 2025 and released on digital platforms in late November 2025, the film presents a woman’s perspective on a relationship experienced during the summer months, exploring themes of love, emotion, and personal reflection. The film was directed by Jamie Wigg (Co-Owner) and shot by Sebastian Pedersen (Co-Owner).

In late December 2025, 2000 Films began production on it’s second project, CUBE, a psychological thriller. Production was completed within December, with a scheduled release date of 18 January 2026. The film was directed by Sebastian Pedersen (Co-Owner) and shot by Jamie Wigg (Co-Owner).

Overall, 2025 marked the release of 2000 Films’ first short film and the completion of two productions, laying a strong foundation for the company’s continued growth.

Early 2026:

January 2026 marks the release of 2000 Films’ second production, CUBE. Shot in late December 2025, the Christmas period was dedicated to post-production. With the film now complete, CUBE is scheduled for release in late January across multiple platforms, becoming the second film produced and distributed by 2000 Films.

Early January also see’s Jamie Wigg return to the role of director with his latest short film project, Why Not? With pre-production nearing completion, production for 2000 Films’ third short film is set to begin in late January, with the aim of releasing the film on digital platforms in early February.

February opens new opportunities for the company, as the co-owners of 2000 Films will travel to Berlin to attend the Berlin International Film Festival, with the objective of expanding the company’s professional network and industry connections.

Late February may see a return to directing for co-owner Sebastian Pedersen, with new script development currently in the early stages.

2026 and Beyond:

With January and February already fully booked for releases and ongoing production, any new productions will commence from March onwards.

2000 Films aims to expand its creative reach by welcoming externally developed projects under the 2000 Films umbrella. With the production Why Not? the company marks a significant milestone, as an external collaborator has taken on the role of Director of Photography for the first time. Looking ahead, 2000 Films intends to further develop in-house talent by bringing a director under its wing and producing a short film by the end of 2026.

As early spring 2026 approaches, the owners of 2000 Films are actively discussing potential productions scheduled for this period, with a clear focus on delivering a high volume of high-quality work.

In addition, 2000 Films will submit it’s first short film to a film festival, marking the company’s debut screening before a live audience and an important step in expanding its presence within the festival circuit.
